Jolene Castillou Cumming has been producing and presenting public history events and programs since 2001. She is the co-founder and co-coordinator of the Herstory Cafe (2007-2015) and is the founder of the Stanley Park History Group and the Stanley Park History Salon.

The Forgotten Women of Brockton Point Historical Walking Tour

Saturday Sept 1st, 2018   1:40pm – 4:00pm

Walk along the seawall and through the forests of Stanley Park to a place where diverse women made history. Hear stories about activists, athletes, matriarchs, musicians, shipwrecks, artists, the bicycle & other “crazes” and more. Visit Hallelujah Point, see the old Pest House site, Totem Poles, the Fisherman’s Cove community site and other famous landmarks and monuments. Includes rare historical photographs. 

Washroom break at the “Legends of the Moon Gift Shop”. Refreshments for purchase.

Wear appropriate clothing and footwear, as we may be on grassy and uneven ground at times. 

Pre-registration required. See BOLDFest application.  Maximum 20 people.  $20 per person.  Priority given to fully-registered BOLDFest women.
